Year 4 Easter Basket Competition

Djembe Drumming

As part of the Music Curriculum all pupils in Year 4 take part in a beginners Djembe Drumming Course. They learn many Djembe patterns and some traditional African songs and games. Djembe drumming is extremely 'hands on' and physically demanding.

Apart from being excellent fun, djembe drumming has lots of other benefits. Drumming in a group fosters great skills in teamwork, respect for others, cooperation and a feeling of community. Learning any instrument stimulates the brain and improves concentration and creativity.

We hope that you will enjoy looking at our Gallery. School life is busy and these photos are a selection of some of the activities and events that take place.

On Friday 4th December we participated in Bobble Hat Day.  We raised £331.58.

The children and staff looked very colourful in Bobble Hats of many designs.  The money raised has been donated to the NSPCC`s Childline.
