We hope that you all had a great half term.
During Spring 1 the children in year 6 worked really hard and enjoyed their geography trip to the Outwoods in Loughborough. There the children were able to use their new map reading skills to navigate their way through the woods adding features to their maps.
Year 6 trip to The National Space Centre
On Thursday 24th our children enjoyed taking part in a chemistry workshop. They had the opportunity to test the thermal properties of paint. They decided which paint would be the best to paint a rocket that was going into space. The children worked well in groups to carry out their investigations making sure they kept their tests fair so that their results were accurate.
We were very proud of the children.
They are looking forward to being scientists during our Space Week!
We have had a busy first half term!
The children all have an individual login to Times Tables Rock Stars where they can practise multiplication tables. They can login at home as well as in school.
The children have also have an individual login to Purple Mash. This is another resource that children can access at home. It is a cross-curricular resource that we will be using for coding and other activities.
