Don't forget you can login to Bug Club to see a range of books for you to read.  Your personal username and password has been emailed to you through Purple Mash.

Dear Parents/Carers/children,

During this time it is important to keep reading. It is difficult for school to get books to each child’s home so we have set up an account on Bug Club for every child in our school. Bug Club is an online reading resource. All children have been allocated a book band by their teacher which matches their current reading level. There are approximately 20-25 books to read on each band. Once you have finished all the books on your band your teacher will consider moving you up a band, giving you a whole new set of books to read.

To access all these great books follow the instructions below:

  • Go to www.activelearnprimary.co.uk/login
  • Click the ‘Log in’ button
  • Fill in your individual username and password sent to you by your teacher (make sure capital letters are all in the correct place)
  • Fill in the school code 7AHS
  • Go to ‘My Stuff’ at the top of the page and simple choose a book to read

Note for Parents/Carers

On the top right hand side of the page there is a ‘Grown-ups’ area with all the information you need to know about reading and Bug Club. However, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher if you have any problems or queries.

Happy reading!

We hope that you all had a great half term.

During Spring 1 the children in year 6 worked really hard and enjoyed their geography trip to the Outwoods in Loughborough.  There the children were able to use their new map reading skills to navigate their way through the woods adding features to their maps.

Class 11

We have had a busy first half term!

The children all have an individual login to Times Tables Rock Stars where they can practise multiplication tables.  They can login at home as well as in school.

The children have also have an individual login to Purple Mash.  This is another resource that children can access at home.  It is a cross-curricular resource that we will be using for coding and other activities.
