Dear Parents and Carers of children in the Nursery and Reception classes

I hope you are all well.

I am writing to ask you to spare time to check our online platform called Tapestry. You have received an email from us with the information about this and your individual logins. I have really enjoyed looking at photos of the activities that your lovely children have been doing in school since the beginning of term.

The teaching staff have been working hard to upload photos and I know that they love to see when a parent/carer has “liked” a photo, and it is an added bonus for us all when a parent has written a comment.

I also enjoy reading comments from parents/carers and seeing that you have liked photos but something that we love even more is looking at photos of activities that have been uploaded by parents/carers of things that your children been doing at home. Some examples could be a visit to the park; a cooking activity; playing; reading or anything that you think you want us to see. I am sure that you can think of better ideas than I can.

Tapestry is great to use, it is very similar to Facebook. All information held in the platform is stored securely and confidentially. Parents and carers are able to view online your children’s progress and how much fun they are having.  It is also a good way for the children to see that school and home value what they are doing.

It will give you the chance to see what your child has been doing in school. It is great and I wish it had been around when my children were in Nursery and Reception.
