Welcome to the Hedgehog Class!
Our Class teachers are Mrs Patel and Mrs Wilbur
Our Class teaching assistant is Miss Kava .
Other Teaching assistants who help us are Mrs Brooker and Mrs Chandersy.
Our PE days for Autumn 2 (October-December) are Mondays and Tuesdays.
Please make sure children come to school dressed in their t-shirt/jumpers, leggings/jogging bottoms/shorts and trainers or plimsolls on these days. We will be using the outdoor area so as the weather turns colder please wear appropriate clothing.
Children will have a reading book and reading journal to take home. They will need to bring this to school every day. Please try to read at home three times a week.

The Big Picture
This week the children in Hedgehogs class have been learning how to write instructions. They made a marmalade sandwich, just as Paddington Bear would have liked it. Next, they are going to write some instructions to tell other people how to make one too.
The Great Fire of London Workshop - the children learnt lots of historical information from the time of TGFOL through drama and movement. Enjoy the photos and the facial expressions to capture how people may have felt during the fire!
The Children visited the forest school area and learnt how to start a fire using flint and cotton wool. They discussed how the fire spread quickly because the wooden houses were built so close to each other. Enjoy the photos below.
We celebrated Diwali in school by dressing up in traditional clothing, learning the story of Diwali and making clay divas.
The Hedeghogs loved having their families in to share their learning about the Great Fire of London. They loved sharing all their knowledge that they had learnt in class and creating art work to show the flames taking down the houses that were built so close together!
The children enjoyed looking at Muslim Artefacts this week. They look at how Muslims pray, inside a Mosque and explored various prayer mats and Muslim clothing.
Space Centre Trip! The hedgehogs loved exploring the Space Centre this week. They spotted the timeline for the Race to Space that we have been looking at in class alongside some famous astronauts! They even got to see a real piece of the moon!
The children have been intrigued by Hindu and Sikh places of worship and religious artefacts in RE. They have enjoyed exploring the artefacts, sharing food and have asked some interesting questions.
